CEAL Membership: Renew | Confirm | Join

Join CEAL | Confirm Status | CEAL Home

Please make sure your CEAL membership is current, and if you haven't joined CEAL yet, this is a good time to do so.

Why? Because only current CEAL members are eligible to vote in the CEAL election, to be held in February, or to get involved in CEAL-related committee work. Besides, with CEAL membership you get a free subscription to JEAL, the Journal of East Asian Libraries, and the benefit of association with the oldest and most important group of East Asian Library specialists in North America.

Next Steps?

Remember, the CEAL election is coming up in less than a month. Don’t delay!

Please let me know if you have questions.

Regards,

Sarah Elman

Speakers Wanted: Mobile/Social Media Roundtable

CEAL 2012 Schedule

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of Membership Committee, I am calling for speakers for our Roundtable Discussion at this year’s CEAL/AAS Conference (9:30pm – 11:00pm, Wednesday March 14th). The particular roundtable I will be hosting is on the theme of Mobile Technologies/Social Media and Their Applications in the Library. If you have any level of work experience in this area and would like to share and exchange ideas with interested colleagues, please contact me off the list for becoming one of our speakers at the roundtable. For those who are new, the roundtable is a very casual, informal opportunity for information sharing and free discussion, led by our appointed speakers and monitored by the host. There will be no formal presentation or lecture.

Thanks and look forward to seeing you all in Toronto!

The cut-off date for a valid membership is Feb.1, 2012. All renewals received after the cut-off date will not be able to get an election ballot.

Confirming Your Current Membership Status:
Only CEAL members are eligible to vote on CEAL issues, run for elected offices, or be nominated for appointed positions. To be a CEAL member, you must:

Joining CEAL is a 2-step process:
Step 1) Join AAS
Before submitting the CEAL membership application form, please join the
